pinehaven GOOD NEIGHBOR GUIDE
1. Due to narrow roads, please park off road so others may pass.
2. Parking on private property without the owner's permission is not allowed.
3. Speed limit throughout Pinehaven is 10 mph for all vehicles, including snowmobiles, ATVs and motorbikes (Ordinance 4).
4. Snowmobiles, ATVs and motorbikes should not cross over private land but use roads only. Roads should be used to enter and leave Pinehaven only, not for recreational use (Ordinance 8). Pinehaven follows state law in requiring that drivers of such vehicles have a driver's license; drivers with a learner's permit may drive, provided they are with a licensed driver.
5. Access to the dock and parking at the dock is for property owners and their guests only. Please contact Lyssa Linger to obtain a key. Do not park in private driveways near the dock.
6. River access is available at the dock, along the fence at the north end of Pinehaven, at designated rights-of-way or by permission of riverfront property owners.
7. Fishing regulations are available through licensing agencies (there are several in Last Chance). You must have a new fishing license every year. Motorized boats are not permitted on the river in this area.
8. Shooting of firearms is not permitted in Pinehaven except during duck season. At that time, shotguns only may be fired along the riverfront.
9. Fires are allowed in fire rings or pits only. Substantial amounts of water should be kept handy, and all fires MUST be out before users leave the area. Fires are not allowed during times of severe fire danger.
10. There is no garbage pickup in Pinehaven. Due to bear danger, please leave all trash inside until you can take it to the Fremont County landfill in Elk Creek. PSI Environmental Service will pick up for a monthly fee and purchase of a bear garbage can.
11. Harassment of or injury to wild animals is not allowed. Feeding of wild animals is not recommended, as food left out attracts bears.
12. Dogs should be kept under owner's control at all times.
13. 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. is quiet time in Pinehaven; please restrict use of motors, amplified music or any other loud activity during that time.
